Site Manager – Carpentry / Fit-Out Location: Birmingham Rate: £300 per day Job Type: Freelance / Contract Sector: Construction / Carpentry / Fit-Out Site Manager – Birmingham Ridgeway & Co Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in carpentry and fit-out to oversee works on a construction project in Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors and trades, monitoring programme progress and ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Candidates should have strong experience managing carpentry and fit-out packages, with the ability to coordinate site teams, resolve on-site issues and maintain high standards of workmanship throughout the project. Experience using RDrive software is required. Responsibilities Managing and overseeing day-to-day site operations across carpentry and fit-out packages. Coordinating subcontractors, trades, labour and site resources. Monitoring programme delivery to ensure works are completed on schedule. Ensuring all carpentry and fit-out works meet project specifications and quality standards. Maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations and site procedures. Conducting toolbox talks, site inspections and progress meetings. Liaising with Project Managers, subcontractors and the wider delivery team. Using RDrive software to manage relevant site information and reporting. Identifying and resolving site issues to maintain productivity and programme deadlines. Requirements Proven experience as a Site Manager within carpentry, joinery or fit-out. Strong knowledge of construction site operations and fit-out packages. Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple trades. Experience using RDrive software. Relevant site management qualifications, including SMSTS. Valid CSCS card. First Aid at Work qualification preferred. Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. Full right to work in the UK. What's on Offer Competitive freelance rate of £270 per day.
