Salary: £26,298 per annum Hours: 37.5 - Permanent - Full-Time Service: Learning Disabilities Location: Brighton and Hove (BN1 3 / BN1 6 / BN3 5) About the role As a Support Worker, you will work directly with people in their homes and in the community. You will be expected to support people with a variety of needs, enabling them to live the lives they want. Duties will include: - Building great relationships with people we support and the people important to their lives - Promoting choice and participation when supporting people with daily tasks - Co-creating opportunities for people to try new things and offering information to support people to make their own choices - Offering personalised support by working with people’s strengths to build their confidence and overcome obstacles with the aim of achieving their goals - Encouraging people to participate in activities that bring them joy and meaning About you We recognise that everyone, regardless of their personal history, has talents, abilities and unique personal qualities. To be a Support Worker at Certitude, it is essential you: - Can motivate others and build their confidence to try new things, meet new people and achieve what they want to achieve - Enjoy the outdoors and walking - Are practical and organised - Are able to make and maintain great relationships and support others to develop their own relationships - Can use a range of standard and non-standard technology, such as the internet, emails, databases, Microsoft Office applications, a smart phone/iPad - Are fully flexible to work mornings, evenings and sleep in shifts across Monday to Sunday You will be given training, development and coaching to help you feel confident in providing great support and to help you advance in your career.
