Job Vacancy: General Site Labourer Location: Hemel Hempstead (HP1) Pay Rate: £17.43 per hour Hours: 45 hours per week (Monday - Friday) Contract Type: 12 Months (Ongoing) Start Date: Monday (26th October) Key Duties & Responsibilities: Site Maintenance: Keep welfare areas, access routes, and plots clean, tidy, and safe by clearing rubbish, sweeping up, and managing skips. Material Handling: Safely unload supplier deliveries and distribute heavy building materials to designated plots and work areas. Trade Support: Provide hands-on assistance to bricklayers, carpenters, dryliners, and other trades across site. Site Security & Setup: Assist with moving temporary fencing, perimeter security, and locking down materials/plots at the end of the shift. Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to site rules, maintain walkways, and immediately report hazards to the Site Manager. Requirements & Qualifications: CSCS Card: Valid CSCS card is essential (Green Labourer card or higher). PPE: Full standard PPE required (Hard hat, Hi-vis vest/jacket, Steel-toe safety boots). Experience: Proven experience working on busy UK construction sites. Attributes: Reliable, punctual, physically fit for manual lifting, and holds a strong work ethic.
