Full job description (from employer)⌄

Greys Specialist Recruitment are working with an established service provider who are looking to appoint an Account Manager to manage and develop an existing portfolio of clients. This is a commercially focused role combining relationship management, service delivery and account development. You'll be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, protecting existing revenue and identifying opportunities to grow accounts through additional services, increased utilisation and repeat business. The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with clients, understands the commercial side of account management and takes a proactive approach to developing long-term relationships. Rather than simply responding to incoming requests, you'll be expected to identify future requirements, generate opportunities and turn client demand into confirmed business. The Role Manage and develop a portfolio of existing clients, building strong, long-term relationships. Identify opportunities to generate additional revenue through cross-selling, repeat business and increased service utilisation. Convert client enquiries, quotations and identified requirements into confirmed, billable work. Take a proactive approach to account growth, identifying future client needs and developing new opportunities within existing accounts. Lead regular client reviews, using performance data and service information to identify opportunities, address concerns and strengthen relationships. Monitor account performance, service utilisation and revenue opportunities, taking action to protect and grow existing business. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure services are delivered effectively and client expectations are met. Manage client issues, identify retention risks and take ownership of actions to maintain customer satisfaction. Support contract renewals, additional service agreements and the mobilisation of new clients or services. Maintain a clear pipeline of account development opportunities and manage your workload to balance client service with commercial priorities. About You We're looking for someone with experience in Account Management, Client Services or a similar commercially focused role. You'll be confident building relationships, identifying opportunities and having conversations that lead to additional business. You'll need a proactive, commercially minded approach, with the ability to understand client requirements, manage competing priorities and take ownership of your accounts. Strong communication skills are essential, alongside the confidence to discuss service performance, present information and identify opportunities for growth. Experience working towards revenue targets, developing existing accounts or cross-selling services would be particularly beneficial. Previous experience within a service-led business would be advantageous, although strong account management experience from other sectors may be transferable. The Opportunity This is an opportunity to join an established business in a role where account management goes beyond maintaining relationships. You'll have the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to revenue, client retention and business growth, with a clear focus on developing existing accounts and maximising their commercial potential. If you're an Account Manager who enjoys building relationships, spotting opportunities and turning them into business, we'd like to hear from you.
