Full job description (from employer)⌄

Lead Engineer, Lead Developer, Full Stack Engineering, Azure, .NET, C#, React, Mainly Remote, Liverpool, Merseyside Lead Engineer / Lead Developer required for a fast growing and forward-thinking Professional Services organisation. This is mainly remote, with some responsibility to visit the Leeds office when genuinely needed. There is no actual base / office in Liverpool but they can attract candidates from here who are willing to travel to the likes of Manchester on the odd occasion, including socials with the team (likely to be in Leeds). There will be travel to other offices on occasions too, but it will be light. Please read in full before applying. We need a hands-on full stack Lead Engineer / Lead Developer who can also lead people, set standards and deliver real outcomes. This is not a role for someone who "just writes code". It is for someone who understands why they are building something, not just how. You will work across modern engineering, cloud technologies and digital delivery, guiding a small development team while collaborating with Product, Architecture and wider technical groups. This is all about building with purpose, solving real problems and helping take this organisation on a proper technology journey. There will be an AI edge to it too – so any experience with GenAI (Co-Pilot, ChatGPT or Claude etc) would be very welcome. Key development skillset required: C#, .NET platform, Python, Azure PaaS (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, Azure App Service, ARM/Bicep templates), SharePoint and React AI-native judgement. You should be fluent across AI-native engineering, from building natively in the platform, using AI-enabled tools to accelerate your own craft, and taking coalface experiments through to production-grade operationalised solutions. Good understanding of Azure DevOps processes, in-depth understanding of Azure Resource Management. What you will be doing: Leading a small development team across a portfolio of applications. Being hands on while also shaping delivery and engineering standards. Working with Product Managers and business teams to prioritise and allocate work. Delivering both strategic and tactical technology solutions. Applying modern DevOps and exploring emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. This is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience. Apply now for more details
