Full job description (from employer)⌄

Food Manufacturing | Competitive Salary + Benefits I'm working with a busy food manufacturing site looking for a Maintenance Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day engineering operation and get the best out of their team. This is a fast-paced environment that needs someone who can think on their feet, stay one step ahead and isn't afraid of a challenge. You'll be responsible for leading shift engineers and shift leaders, keeping the factory running efficiently and making sure the team is working together to deliver. Reporting into the Engineering Controller, you'll play a key role in the wider engineering function, with plenty of investment going into the site and real scope to make a difference. What will you be doing? Managing and developing shift engineers, shift leaders and the wider maintenance team. Taking ownership of day-to-day maintenance across a busy manufacturing site. Driving preventative maintenance, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability. Managing reactive issues and prioritising workloads in a fast-moving environment. Working closely with production to keep the factory running safely and efficiently. Developing your team, setting standards and holding people accountable. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and making the most of ongoing site investment. What are they looking for? Experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar engineering leadership role. A background in food manufacturing, ideally chilled food or bakery. Strong people management skills. This is a big one; they need someone who can lead, motivate and manage a team effectively. Someone organised, proactive and able to make decisions under pressure. The confidence to challenge the status quo, tackle problems head-on and keep things moving. A hands-on approach to leadership, with the ability to balance people, performance and the day-to-day demands of the factory. What's on offer? A decent salary and the opportunity to join a busy site with plenty of investment and scope to make an impact. It's a role for someone who enjoys a challenge, likes leading people and wants to be in an environment where no two days are quite the same. If you're an engineering leader who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and knows how to get the best out of a team, I'd be keen to have a conversation
